You can see the smiling faces of some of the Fay Ranch Brokers on the cover spread for the America’s Best Brokerages feature in the spring issue of The Land Report that arrives at magazine stand and mailboxes this week.
This Best Brokerages feature of the quarterly publication known as “The Magazine of the American Landowner” segments its compilation of the leading land brokerages by region. Fay Ranches is grouped with the information on brokerages in the West, and a photo of partners Chuck Davison, James Esperti, Greg Fay, and B. Elfland appears on the cover spread of the Best Brokerages section. (Partner Ryan Flair might have been reeling in Permit in warm waters somewhere with a client.) Fay Ranches appears on page 48 as closing over $100 Million in transactions last year.
The entry for Fay Ranches begins with some company history and then reports that it completed more transactions in 2011 than any previous year. Greg Fay is also quoted: “The first two quarters of 2011 started off slowly, and we were concerned that the momentum we had gained in 2010 would not transfer to the new year. However, the third and fourth quarters of 2011 were tremendous, with a few instances of competitive offers.”
In looking over the remarks from brokers across the country, one sees many signs of momentum continuing for ranch and farm properties for sale across the country. “Like us, a number of brokerages closed a historic number of transactions in 2011 and are off to a strong start in this first quarter of 2012,” notes Greg Fay, broker/founder. “Income-producing properties are doing especially well, but there is also interest in legacy properties, outstanding recreational assets, and opportunities for conservation activities.”
